Georges Prosper Remi (22 May 1907 – 3 March 1983), known by the pen name Hergé, was a Belgian cartoonist, born in Brussels. His best known and most substantial work is The Adventures of Tintin series, consisting of 23 comic books which he completed between 1929 and his death in 1983.
He is commemorated in a large mural and associated cartoon at Bruxelles Midi station.

Who doesn’t love Tintin. It’s amazing the staying power this character has, especially since he was developed in the 30s! I enjoy the fact that this commemorative mural is in the Brussels railway station. The graphics are still so appealing. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.

I love the Tintin museum in Brussels – well worth a visit. For fans of comics in general just posted about the Cartoon Museum in London – another worthwhile stop.. tho’ no Tintin there.
