I got my first snow of winter last week, in Madrid. The weather was sunny, crisp and chilly and I didn’t even see the snow come down.  But on Thursday morning there were patches of snow in shady spots.

They may not have been much left by the time I was free to go for a walk, but this young lad found enough to make a snowball or two.
