Xenomania – an inordinate attachment to foreign things (as customs, institutions, manners, fashions)
-Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
For all my xenomaniac readers and followers, here is a mosaic of some favourite photos from my travels in 2013.
Going in a more or less clockwise fashion, the photos are:
York Cathedral, England
Barcelona, Spain
Margate promenade, England
Water lily, Okavango Delta, Botswana
Looking Down in Toledo, Spain
Elephant and Palm Tree, Okavango Delta, Botswana
Equestrian reflection, Glasgow
Dean Bridge, Edinburgh, Scotland
Madrid, Spain
Marseille, France
Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland
Yellow petals, Dublin, Ireland
Le Marais, Paris, France
Tarragona Cathedral, Spain
Bell Rock, Sedona, Arizona
.

I think all photographers would have a touch of xenomania…. 🙂

Nor me, I have to admit. I knew what it meant as soon as I saw it, but have never heard it used. Typically, xenophobia is well known, but its positive opposite is not!
