The Bestiary exhibition is now open. I highly recommend a visit, even if you think you don’t like Phlegm’s work. I wouldn’t say I like his work myself, but I do admire it. The imagination, originality and level of detail are incredible. As art for an outdoor urban environment I find it just perfect.
As you enter, you get the feel of an old apothecary, with specimen jars filling the shelves, alongside the odd stuffed animal.
Meander on through, and a 3D effect becomes apparent; many of the pieces are semi-sculptural, popping off the wall in all their gruesome detail.

Yes, I think he’s a bit of a local celebrity! He certainly knew the best place to sit to get attention.

I just love the display picture, with the name of the exhibit and the dog below… ^^ And the exhibit by itself is exquisite : what strong pieces ! I like the style of this artist ; very intriguing.
