New Windows on the Block

-Look Up, Look Down Challenge, Week 37

Every Thursday, I publish a post containing photo(s) taken from above or below, and invite you to join in the challenge by posting your own photos with an up or down perspective.

Recently renovated – 228-229 Piccadilly, London

This beautifully refurbished building is part of a new retail development on Piccadilly, between Piccadilly Circus and Waterstones.

On such a busy street it’s all to easy to miss what is going on above your head, but this modern take on art deco is well worth a look skywards.

  1. That is just beautiful! And so unexpected. The red tile on the inside of the window frames (whatever you call them) really sets off the colorful display above. Nice shots of this! I’m heading back into the challenge with an entry tomorrow when you post #38.

  2. As you say, so easy to miss the unusual details of architecture unless we take time to look up. Absolutely adore the colours and design of th art deco. Thanks so much for this meme. I love it!
