The last couple of days in Paris were wet and grey. I have always been lucky enough to have glorious weather on my trips to this capital city, no matter the time of year, and I hadn’t gone prepared. The weather didn’t detract from the magnificent architecture, but my soggy shoes may never recover.

This little patch of pink shone out from the drizzle as I walked along the river.

I would take even rain to go for a walk in Paris. The flowers are lovely.

Hi Debbie, thank you for sharing with Today’s Flowers. I visited Paris for the first time at the beginning of this month and it was a wonderful experience. The weather was also sunny and warm and we did a lot of sight-seeing in the short time we had. I hope to go back for longer next time. This is a lovely photo!

You need a long time to take it all in, don’t you! I’ve been many times, but always for brief visits and I don’t feel I’ve really got to know it. I’m hoping to spend a bit longer there in September.

I seem to remember a couple of lines in an old song, something like
“I love Paris in the summer, when it sizzles, I love Paris in the winter, when it drizzles…”
Or maybe the other way round…
But at least it goes on, “I love Paris every moment, every moment of the year…” You too?

Certainly! I should have used that song in the post, it’s absolutely perfect!

Oh yes, I encountered a lot of rain in Paris as well. Thankfully, it would stop raining in the evenings around 6 or 7, so we could enjoy a stroll.

Yes, it’s a shame if you can’t. It’s such a great city to walk around.
