Reflections of a Four-Breasted Woman

“Woman is made of fragile glass;
but do not put her to the test
to see if she will break,
for that might come to pass.”
― Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Don Quixote

Murano glass can be found the world round, but for the best selections you should visit Murano itself.  Not all of it is beautiful (not to my eye at least) and not all of it is real (Chinese imitations abound).  Much of it is repetitious: beads, balloons and clowns spring to mind.  But there are also some large, striking and unusual public pieces around.  This glass female, with what seem to be four breasts (and a tail too, but you can’t see it in this shot), was a wonderful source of reflections.

  1. Well, that’s a “guttsy” reflection … doesn’t look like any Morano glass that I have seen, but very interesting. Four Breasts … hmmmm.. Has there ever been such a creature?

    • Yes, it was a bit dirty but otherwise unharmed. There was one other that I spotted and I’ll share it soon.

    • Yes, it’s an incredible skill. And this one has to be tough enough to withstand public prodding and the weather
