In recognition of Take a Walk in the Park Day, celebrated today, 30 March 2015, I will take you on a wander around Regents Park in London.
Regent Park cover 410 acres of north-west London. It is easily reached by tube and bus, and is also walkable from Kings Cross, St Pancras, Euston and Marylebone stations. It is one of eight Royal parks as designated in the Crown Lands Act 1851. The public does not have any legal right to use the Parks, as public access depends on the grace and favour of The Crown; they are managed by the Royal Parks government agency.
The park is home to London Zoo, Regent’s Canal, the Open Air Theatre, the Frieze Art Fair, three children’s playgrounds, wide open spaces and formal gardens.

I took a walk there for the first time on my last trip to London and it will be on my list for my next trip. It was a beautiful spot even in November.

Regents Park is an exquisite place with so much to see. The huge urn of flowers and the formal floral beds is breath taking! Should I ever make it to England, I’ll have this location on my list to see.

It’s years since I was in this park, Debs! It always seems a bit of a waste to head for a park in London when there’s so much else to see. I’ve ended up in St. James’ a time or two but that’s purely location and scale. 🙂 I guess I had my ideal opportunity with the canal walk but there’s only so much will fit into one day 🙂 Your shots are superb and I will definitely visit the park next trip (and the London Canal museum).
