A misty dawn on Hampstead Heath, London, November 2015
A colourful note: use of the word gold is sometimes replaced with golden, to help distinguish from metallic gold. The first recorded use of golden as a colour name in English was in 1300 to refer to the element gold, and in 1423 to refer to blond hair. It was introduced as a Crayola crayon in 1949.
