Phare de Kermorvan, Brittany, France, September 2016
Le phare de Kermorvan (Kermorvan lighthouse) dates back to 1849 and is the most westerly land-based lighthouse in France. It sits on the edge of the presqu’île de Kermorvan, close to the pretty port of Le Conquet in Finistère. The 20.3 metre tall, square tower is operated remotely but is well worth a visit in person for stunning views around the coast, or to gaze across the Atlantic to Canada.

There is something very special and mystical with lighthouses. Marvelous image Debbie!

You’d love Btittany then, Lena. Gorgeous scenery, rugged coast and plenty of lighthouses. There’s another I’m hoping to get to tomorrow as it shares its site with an old Abbey.
