Gazebo on River Lea, Ware, Hertfordshire, November 2016
Ware was a busy and noisy industrial town in the 18th and 19th centuries. Residents with gardens leading own to the river built delightful gazebos, often known as Dutch Summerhouses, with waterside views. Many of these fell into serious disrepair after World War II but, thankfully, money was raised for renovation in the 1980s.
They now provide an area of great charm for walkers along the River Lea.

Lovely peaceful spot. There are so many of these on English rivers. One of the epleasures of living in England.
