As promised, I am taking you up high for an aerial glimpse of London throughout 2017. My aim is to take you to a different viewpoint each month. In January, I took you up to the top outdoor gallery at St Paul’s Cathedral for a view down on London City.

This is where I shot from in January 2017
I was standing at the top of old London, looking mainly at new London. My good blogging friend Emilio was disappointed, so in February I decided to do the opposite.
My camera and I popped up to the top of a modern shopping mall close to St Paul’s. It has a sizeable roof terrace with extensive views across London, including a close up look at St Paul’s itself. It also offers an appealing restaurant and bar.
The terrace is at the top of One New Change on Cheapside, literally next door to St Paul’s. Access is free and is usually open daily from 06:00 until midnight.

I’m headed to London in a couple of weeks. I’ll be sure to checkout One New Change.

The outdoor galleries at St Paul’s Cathedral are closed for several weeks in the next 2-3 months, making One New Change even more important.
I also recommend crossing the river and going to the 10th floor gallery at the Tate Modern gallery. It is free too and gives a fantastic view to St Paul’s and the river.
I am always happy to meet with fellow traveller/photographer addicts – just email me or put a comment on my blog if you want a bit of company. I’m in London for the next 3 weeks before a crazy travel session.
