Misty sky over Welwyn North Station, Hertfordshire, January 2017
This Grade 2 listed station, and the vital viaduct that enables the connection of London to the north, were built between 1850 and 1865, as part of the Great Northern Railway. It is a great example of the architecture of the early railway days, constructed from locally produced red brick from the Welwyn Brick Fields at Ayot Green.
And there’s a charming little coffee shop offering friendly service and great coffee.
