A row of Bodhisattvas at the Big Buddha, Hong Kong, November 2018
The Big Buddha, on Lantau Island, sits at the top of a long flight of steps. The first to greet you as you catch your breath after the climb, are two rows of Statues of Bodhisattvas, three on each side of the staircase. These are Buddhist deities who are venerated for helping us mortals reach enlightenment.

Welcome to One Word Sunday, and over to all of you to join the challenge with your own row post.
To join the challenge, please use pingback by putting a link in your post to the URL of this post, allowing others to have the opportunity to visit and join the challenge. Then come back here and leave us a comment.
If you have any problems with linking via pingback, just add your own URL into your comment.
I’m travelling again at the moment, so will probably be slow getting over to visit you all. Apologies, but I will call in eventually.
Thanks to everyone who brought us such variety in circles last week. A few that made a particular impression on me: nature in circle perfection from David; history from Ken; angelic from Maria; and a colourful peeping tom from LittlePiecesOf Me.

I love religious art! The colors of the photographs are beautiful, and the second Bodhisattva Is particularly uplifting.
Feeling blessed to have found you, as I’m not able to travel. I’m also not able to take photos, but my father has a great collection that he shares with me. Although I’m a day late, this particular challenge of yours brought one photo to mind and a lot of thoughts with it — so I made a post: https://divineincarnate.com/2019/03/25/photo-challenge-the-rows-of-creation/
Thank you!

I really like your row photos. I think I almost like the second one best, just because there is a human and humor factor going on. 😀

It’s fun seeing people taking photos. I’ll admit I use my phone far more often than I drag out the big DSLR these days.

This is a great photo for the challenge. The inclusion, in the second photo, of the person using their phone to take a photo is a good twist. 🙂

Wow, your challenge for Sunday is really growing – happy for you:) For this week I came to a row of trees, because I loved the sky behind it.

It has been very rainy lately, so I balance it with posting sunsets:):) Have a great week, Deb:)
