Endangered in Croydon

“Looking to Tomorrow”, Croydon, June 2019

This giant mural is on the corner of Fell Road and High Street, in Croydon. It is the work of street artist, Sonny, and was painted in 2017 as part of his To The Bone project.

Sonny was born in Britain and grew up in South Africa. His works typically feature bright, geometric shapes, fused with natural subjects. His To The Bone project was aimed at raising awareness of endangered species. He created works across the world, including Vladivostok, Johannesburg, London and Miami. Each mural features a different endangered animal, decorated with patterns symbolic of the country in which they live.
