This giant mural is on the corner of Fell Road and High Street, in Croydon. It is the work of street artist, Sonny, and was painted in 2017 as part of his To The Bone project.
Sonny was born in Britain and grew up in South Africa. His works typically feature bright, geometric shapes, fused with natural subjects. His To The Bone project was aimed at raising awareness of endangered species. He created works across the world, including Vladivostok, Johannesburg, London and Miami. Each mural features a different endangered animal, decorated with patterns symbolic of the country in which they live.

I like it! Here we are with the fate of the world in our hands… and all we can do is recycle a few things and go back to our cell phones.

Beautiful artwork and thank you for bringing this artist to my attention.
I clicked through to read because the title of the post includes “Croydon”. There is a Croydon the eastern Pennsylvania and that’s what I thought of when I saw the title and thought your post was related to this story: https://www.phillyvoice.com/bucks-county-batman-graffiti-bensalem-croydon/

An interesting article.
The Croydon I wrote about is on south Edge of London. A gallery there has been working hard to bring street art to Croydon to brighten it up

I guess we Americans re-used a lot of town names. 😀
