That is a real puzzle … but a very special one! 🙂

I see stairs and windows but what am I looking at here?

It’s the Scottish Parliament building and the windows belong to the offices of the SMPs, the Scottish Members of Parliament. They have a good view out onto the hills around Edinburgh. I’ve been inside a few times, as though put on excellent photography exhibitions during the Festival each year, but you can’t get into the offices!

Gosh, I’d never seen this before. It really does look Catalan, and deeply unGallic. I like it, but whether it’s the right building in the right place is a different thing.

It’s slightly hidden as these windows face out at the back of the building. I love this wall and it’s wooden grilles. But I know there have been maintenance issues. The front of the building is harsher stone and I’m not a fan, so I always detour around the back and admire this view.
