Thanks to everyone who brought us some interior last week. The interpretations of this theme were widespread. Big thanks go to Le Drake Noir for making us think about the meaning of interior; to Caryl for a fun trip around the interior of one of London’s great hotels; and to Sue for taking us inside a wonderful coffee shop (one of my favourites places to top up on caffeine and cake)

I think she’ll be in Leicester Square for many a year – so hopefully you’ll see her on a future visit, Jackie 🙂

Good morning from my side of the world, but I had to go to your side for my umbrella pictures. Great memories in these shots.

Now doesn’t she look fabulous – the faces though on the people around her. Do you think they noticed her?!

Shouldn’t think so!

It’s quite recent – this was the first time I had seen it. It seems that every time i go to Leicester Square it has been redesigned.
Mary and her friends only appeared in Feb. as part of the square’s 350th anniversary celebrations

Ah! I was wondering how I’ve missed such an iconic sculpture all those times I’ve walked through – having said this, it was always thronging with crowds when I found myself in the square.

Oh yes, now there’s an idea. I was telling my daughter, yesterday, that I really need a private jet, and I hadn’t thought of Mary and her umbrella 🙂 🙂 🙂
Happy Sunday to you too, Jo!

What a lovely statue – such a wonder and such unconcerned people around her…
Here are my umbrellas – after having used one shot for Becky’s perspective, here are a few more:

Indeed – and she’ll get even less attention now that the crowds are returning.

I don’t remember Leicester Square being that green but it’s got to be at least 35 years since I was there. An abstract view of our patio umbrella from me:

Nice photo, Debbie. Magical, in fact… although I’m baffled by it. What’s she actually on? It’s very clever.
My photo this week is stretching things once again… https://wp.me/sVkLb-umbrella

I like the statue. I had to really search for umbrella photos and was considering buying some of the little ones that go into drinks and making a photo from them (ala Tom!!), but then I realized I probably had some in my French photos. Sure enough. 🙂
