      • It was a very weak display of the northern lights over Colpoy’s Bay. On the other side of the peninsula over Lake Huron they were much brighter. I also later found out that Earth was passing through three different meteor showers that weekend which explains the shooting star.

        • The Perseids had recently started when I took the photo and then I saw a reference that there was two other meteor showers taking place and visible in this part of Ontario.
