Difficult to rival with London as the subject …
When I step out of doors I usually find half timbered houses (and newer ones, of course), vinyards and forests and … well, this as well:

It was sounding good until the “this a well”. But it’s not so different for me. I’ve got lots of new houses, a busy road and then the M25 motorway. Or walk 45 mins into St Albans itself. And then 20 min train into London. I’ve Beene into London a lot recently, while I can. But as lockdown tightens again I won’t be doing so much of that 😐

Thank you for the quote from Christopher Columbus. It helps me feel a bit better about him, while there is a lot of hatred for him going in in the states presently.

I was pleased to find I had been following in the steps of Columbus! And there was a surprise burst of sun yesterday morning which meant breakfast outdoors next to a boat stop and a quick wander along the boardwalk, before the rain returned.
