The cold of winter

“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.”

– John Steinbeck

A snowy and slushy main road

It’s time for a weekly quotation-inspired image.

  1. John and I are as one in this philosophy. 🙂 Today the high peaks to the north and northeast of us are covered with snow and there are still highways in the mountains closed due to snow. Made me smile from ear to ear with joy to see the snow-covered peaks. Have to try to get up there soon. 🙂

  2. Brrrr…you’ve reminded me of going to visit my grandmother soon after I passed my driving test and the motorway was like that, worse in places!

    • I have changed my contribution, no longer using the image compare feature. Hence, the title change. BTW: I need to go back when it’s summer not just spring.

    • I don’t see this early version but that was a clever title. I haven’t had any size issues with the compare but I’m very stingy with the size of photo I upload on the blog. I export from Lightroom to a jpeg with its longest side set to 10cm. This keeps time to open pages next control but mainly it means that if anyone decides to “borrow” one of my images they can’t do anything useful with it!
