We actually had some snowflakes yesterday, but not enough to pile up on the ground. 😀

I had heard you might get snow this week. Glad you got to see a few flakes. 😀

John and I are as one in this philosophy. 🙂 Today the high peaks to the north and northeast of us are covered with snow and there are still highways in the mountains closed due to snow. Made me smile from ear to ear with joy to see the snow-covered peaks. Have to try to get up there soon. 🙂

Brrrr…you’ve reminded me of going to visit my grandmother soon after I passed my driving test and the motorway was like that, worse in places!

I think the roads took longer to clear than normal as they are so empty. I cross this road every time I walk into town and it is very rare to see it empty. It is much quieter now than in lockdown 1.

Well, it’s just, as busy here….

even on the main roads?

Well, OK, not sure, but I was being told it was just as busy. Perhaps not

All of our roads are definitely quiet. But local roads still have busy times when everyone seems to dash to the supermarket at the same time! The M1 and M6 have been my recent haunt and they are amazingly quiet – they are actually roads now, rather than long car parks 🙂

Yes I was a bit chilled looking at that image Debbie, which was good as it’s 35C here now :p

I find it so hard to imagine heat at the moment. Without travel it seems a. Eternity since I was able to escape to scorching sun and its matching terrain.

What better time to use the image compare feature. I still wish somebody could tell me how to minimize the photos, though: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2021/01/27/slipsliding/

I have changed my contribution, no longer using the image compare feature. Hence, the title change. BTW: I need to go back when it’s summer not just spring.

I don’t see this early version but that was a clever title. I haven’t had any size issues with the compare but I’m very stingy with the size of photo I upload on the blog. I export from Lightroom to a jpeg with its longest side set to 10cm. This keeps time to open pages next control but mainly it means that if anyone decides to “borrow” one of my images they can’t do anything useful with it!

I’ve tried reducing the size of my uploaded photos (mine usually aren’t big to begin with) but in the slider they are all displayed in humungous size. I might be shopping around for another theme (again). In the meantime, I’m quite happy with the result of my makeshift slider.

I tried with my other blog site (which I keep for special occasions) and the problem there is the same. The photos are larger than what is displayed on my screen. I could of course change my screen dimensions but it is not a problem with other display features. Square photos and landscape works. https://picturesimperfect2.wordpress.com/2021/01/27/alternative-slip-slides/
