A tasty meal of bibimbap with plenty of kimchi.

Bon appétit!

And lo and behold, I jetted off to Seoul

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Not my taste in food but I loved the photos. I’ve never been able to eat a fried or poached egg without bread underneath it to soak up the yolk and I can never eat eggs with vegetables.

Haven’t tried these, but they look heavenly, Debbie.

Hmm, I have no idea what bibimbap is, and is kimchi fermented something?

Kimchi is fermented vegetables. Very tasty and very healthy. Good for CIVID recovery they say. And available on Ocado 🙂
Bibimbap is a bowl of rice with lots of tasty meat and veg on top, plus a hot sauce. Delicious.

I do like bibimbap. I almost always fly South Korean Air and naturally that is one of the flight meals. We are lucky to have some people who make fabulous kimchi around here 🙂
Thanks for another *sigh…………….Debbie

Looks yummie! As it turned out all our dinners this week have had an Asian theme and all have been homemade. A lot of cutting into small pieces and a lot of different flavours.

I’ve heard so much about kimchi from the American friends who have lived in Korea but I’ve never had it. Another thing on my bucket list.

I might try if this lockdown goes on much longer. But I haven’t really tried East-Asian food at all so far (cooking, that is).

Buy the bible Charmaine Solomon’s The Complete Asian Cookbook. It was the one a mate and I used in share houses. Added another dimension to what my Mum showed me – variations on meat & three veg 🙂

It’s full of probiotics so very healthy. Worth searching for. And can get it from local supermarket and online.

I like spicy food but spice food doesn’t like me these days. My Six Word Saturday is doubling Up as an Up square this week:

Mmmm, I love bibimbap, but not too much kimchi for me. I’m a spice whimp. 🙂 We got rain today (hurrah) so I have an umbrella to offer:
