It works well, doesn’t it. I think they have added this new gallery into the museum island very smoothly, without taking way from the traditional beauty of the old buildings

Beautiful reflections Debbie! I realized recently that I have lost a whole set of pictures from one of my trips to Berlin! I feel so sad about it but seeing Berlin through your lens gives some consolation 🙂

Oh dear, that is very sad. I’ll try to keep them coming though we won’t necessarily have visited the same spots. Do you have a favourite part of Berlin?

Thanks Debbie. I like the part around the Cathedral and Museuminsel with the river, but also another area that I found once – Prenzlauer Berg. And there are some parts which I don’t know the names of but just came across while strolling once and found some lovely weekly markets there!

They have gone a nice job here. They are still doing a lot of work on the island with a lot of the Pergamon closed. I think there’ll be scaffolding around until 2024 at least.

It was a nice spot to find. I was actually hunting down a book market. Though it wasn’t very exciting when so did find it.

Not a part of Germany that I know. Must have been wonderful to study there. I don’t envy you in your work though – cleaning up the mess we have made!
