Despite some strange weather this past two weeks, we have enjoyed some great sunrise and sunsets… just seem so out of context to most of the resulting days. At least the days were topped and tailed in style 🙂
This was Friday evening and lots of people in the London area got these stunning colours. While I was taking this photos were merrily popping up on Instagram!
Glorious indeed. But as I’ve quoted before (and actually on my own LAPC post this week). In “Good Omens” Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman write: ‘There’s one thing you can say for air pollution, you get utterly amazing sunrises.’ Obviously, that goes for sunsets as well.
Yes + no. We get a lot of Sahara dust (actually, the local asparagus farmers reap the benefit of tens of thousand of years of Sahara dust settling on the ground here) but that looks a bit different (definitely more yellow) and also at different times of the year.

We had a stunning sunset last Friday too but I wasn’t in such a scenic location for my photos!

Oh dear, I’m going to have to try not to think of that when I see these beautiful skies.

Oh sorry, I thought you commented on my sunset this morning (sic!). Of course, I have no idea about weather conditions where Debbie is.

Yep. it helps add colour to our sunsets. Fantastic really as it travels thousands of miles to reach us in the UK… 😃
