What’s inside? Books on the Hill, St Albans, September 2024

Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS. You’ll find me on Instagram @travel_travel_with_intent and @dsmythphoto

I really love a good bookshop, and this one looks inviting, although Inka looks unimpressed! Here’s my 6 : https://suejudd.com/2024/10/05/light-shadows-from-a-recent-journey/

He does drag me in though as he always gets fuss and treats from the staff. 😀

Fabulous book shop. I want to open the safe. Thank goodness for the ferocious guard dog 😁
I have secrets too

Okay, I’m now officially guilt-tripped. ’cause I love bookshops. I love books. But my husband looked at our shelves and I have a no-more-new-books edict at home. I have to resort to audiobooks & electronic books. I occasionally make an exception and clandestinely smuggle in an illustrated book …

Oh dear. I couldn’t cope with that. I occasionally sell or gift some of my books. But buying I have to continue!

There are so many open book cases in Germany – they are all overflowing (and in the process look awful although there are volunteers that sort the books and try to keep them tidy).

great image captures the atmosphere… but not sure the message on the safe would deter a burglar.. Here is my link for 6WS this week :- https://davidoakes-images.com/2024/10/05/6ws-6-word-saturday-challenge-21/

You’d love it! And upstairs there’s a cafe where you can relax surrounded by vintage books.
