Hotel Glarros, Tbilisi, Georgia, November 2024
It’s hard to miss this hotel as you walk past – transparent walls and bright colours inside. The spiral copper staircase is stunning architecture and a perfect example of 3D geometry.

Love that image, and a creative interior design. I have gone for a different generation, back a few centuries :- https://davidoakes-images.com/2025/01/19/ows-one-word-sunday-challenge-transparent/

Not a restful image but I like it for all the lines and colours. Your images are much calmer 😀

woah – what an incredible building, shame about the street noise though.

Rooms at the back are quiet , but you have to choose between view and noise. Glad I stayed there but I have another smaller and more peaceful hotel that’s my favourite in Tbilisi. To stay in not to take photos of. I’ll feature it soon.

I think it’s too metallic for me for a longer stay but it is impressive.
I’m not sure I like full transparency: https://travelwithintent.com/2025/01/19/transparent/

I’d go back to see the staircase again. But not for a long stay. Great breakfast though.

Amazing everything Debbie, the stairs, the colours, the lights, the reflections, all so good.
Mine is a little different sort of transparent

Glad you enjoyed it so much, Brian. I stayed there a couple of nights and you do need to be sure to keep your curtains closed! And you get a lot of street noise too. But the design was wonderful.

I couldn’t stay where there’s street noise at night. Living in the bush it is very quiet here most of the time especially at night

Yes. It disturbed me and I’m used to noise at night.

Oh, I love the bright colors! I’ve got one for this week. I used the word transparency instead of transparent. I hope that is okay. If not, please let me know. 😊. https://heavenssunshine.com/foggy-transparency/
