Winetavern Street, Belfast, image taken February 2025
This mural is by Colombian artist, Visual. He created it as part of the ‘Hit the North’ Festival in 2018 as a tribute to the indigenous peoples, symbolizing strength and energy. The vibrant colours used were inspired by the Wiphala, a square emblem commonly used as a flag to represent native peoples of the Andes.

It was one of many walls now covered in street art in Belfast and I don’t have a wider shot, I’m afraid. But I’ll be sharing more from Belfast in the coming weeks and I’ll have more context for them

A beauty with a strong message. And I liked the way he incorporated the security camera or alarm in the design
