I think “striking” is the word of the day for this. Safe and enjoyable travels. No Six-Word Saturday while you’re gone?

Cut off hands and no speech. A sculpture with a strong message, Debbie!

Now that is starting in two ways .. size and of course just how white it is. Mine is much more sedate in nature and style. Enjoy your trip. :- https://davidoakes-images.com/2026/05/03/ows-one-word-sunday-challenge-white/

Wow, Debbie. That’s striking. Is it as monumental in scale as it looks? Here’s mine – rather more modest: https://margaret21.com/2026/05/03/the-blossoms-on-its-way-out/

Yes, it’s 7.50 metres on a 1.2 meter base. I’m sure you’ll have seen some of Plensa’s work – he’s Catalan and has one of his heads outside the Palau de la Música Catalana. I think this is the first one I’ve seen in white.

I HAVE seen plenty of Plensa, but funnily enough, mainly at Yorkshire Scupture Park a few years ago, where he had an exhibition which made quite an impression on me.
