The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.

They provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service.

Their service includes lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue.

They operate 236 lifeboat stations around the UK Ireland, including four along the River Thames and four inland lifeboat stations at Lough Derg, Lough Ree, Enniskillen and Loch Ness.

The one featured here is Tower Station on the north bank of the Thames, and the photos were taken looking down from Waterloo Bridge.  You can visit this station by appointment by emailing visits@towerrnli.org.uk.
