Two Peas in a Pod

Strolling around a Wiltshire hotel garden , I came across an oversized pea pod:

This month’s CBBH Photo Challenge called for a pair of something. I think you’ll have to agree that this pod revealed a most unexpected pair!

This blog hop challenge asks contributors to share the details of two blogs we enjoy ourselves.  My pair for the month each offer fun challenges that everyone is welcome to join.

Firstly Ese’s Voice, a blog full of haiku, inspiring quotes and beautiful photos.  Ese runs a weekly Shoot and Quote challenge, where Ese issues a theme on a Sunday and all participants have a week to post an entry containing a quote and matching photos based on that theme.

My second is Verena Cave, a collection of Verena’s sketches, paintings and photographs.  Verena has just started a new challenge for the northern hemisphere’s autumn/winter, called the Festival of Leaves; it is only week one and it is already giving us some extremely colourful foliage.

I hope you enjoy browsing my recommended blogs.  If you have time, do give the challenges a go too.

  1. Sculptures work best when they are integrated as part of the scenery, an invitation to ponder, a surprise, a provocation sometimes but none of the less, a gift.

    • Weird, eh? There was no clue as to why it was there. It was just a sedate hotel garden full of beautiful flowers, and this one sculpture. The surprise made me smile.
