Water Reflected in the Black Diamond

The shiny black extension to the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen sits on the waterfront, gaily reflecting the waters below and the coloured rooftops across the water.

Built in 1999, its  black granite cladding and irregular angles give it its evocative nickname, Black Diamond.
