Copenhagen, January 2016
It was a great joy to find snow in Copenhagen when I arrived in mid-January this year. After a mild, wet winter at home, the white stuff was a pleasure, and it looked marvellous on the zigzags in Bertel Thorvaldsens Plads.
In summer, though, this square has a fun water feature, a 16 metre diameter geometric pond designed by Jørn Larsen.

To my eyes at least, it was beautiful in the snow, but it attracted many more fans in the summer.
