Majestic Istanbul, April 2015
Hex colour reference: #9d81ba
A colourful note: the Purple Mountain’s Majesty crayon was named by 89 year old Mildred Samson from Minneapolis, as part of Crayola’s 1993 naming competition. It was run as part of the company’s 90th anniversary celebrations, and the age limit for competitors was set at 90 too. So Mildred was lucky that she was one birthday away from that restriction.
The poetic crayon name comes from the lyrics of a patriotic American song, America the Beautiful.
“O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!”

I knew there was a reason why I love mountains :D. This is majestic Debbie, and just cause of hue, but your original angle that shouts “Debbie” 🙂 Have a great weekend!

I love mountains too and I love city views. I’m always attracted to a spot that provides a glorious view – a sense of freedom I think. And maybe a bit of power 😉
