  1. I wish the English language could “adopt” the German adjective *bunt*! It would fit the lighthouse like a glove, unlike any Normannic words derived from *colour*.

    Forget about weltschmerz and all that jazz (hardly ever used these days). This lighthouse is bunt, bunt, bunt. 🙂

    • It’s a very long time since I learned German and a long time since I spoke more than ordering food and asking for a bill! Not a term I knew – well, remembered!

      I have to say this sounds like a very easy and emphatic way to say colourful.
