The worn and peeling walls with their warm but fading colours combine perfectly with the beauty of this portrait.

5000 shots! what a treasure! I wonder how much time it takes you to sort them out :-). mural is beautiful as well as both pictures each with its live element.

It takes me forever I think! Quite a few were moving classic cars and several can be discarded immediately.
It was just a wonderful country. With a bit of everything.

What a beautiful work of art! I can’t imagine how many SD cards you flipped, I don’t think there’s enough to cover Cuba. Amazing Debbie, thanks for sharing!

You’re right there – many SD cards, and a good hard drive for daily backups. I came back with over 5000 images! And the raw shots are 24Kb-84Kb each depending on which camera they come from. I’m glad data isn’t heavy!!

What a fortunate incidence to have this little dog in the frame. Well done, Debbie! The girl in the mural is beautiful. I like the little girls shot too.

I did stand there for quite a while!
But fortunately there are plenty of dogs around (friendly and well cared for) 😄

I am constantly amazed by street artists. They really are artists. Unbelievably beautiful work.

Me too. It was my camera that got me out wandering and being observant. I am amazed at the quality and variety of street art. And to achieve such perfection while perched on a ladder or dangling from scaffolding is even more stunning. Especially for Mrs Vertigo!

Afraid not! It was close to this one: https://travelwithintent.com/2016/12/19/guardia-en-alto-mural-havana/
But that doesn’t help much!

OK, but it seems there is plenty of street art in Havana Vieja?

Didn’t strike me as a huge amount when I was there, but looking back at my images, I think you’re right. Not on Shoreditch scale, but plenty of good stuff around. I’ve made a list of things to do when (I hope) I get back and finding more street art is on that list!

Our local guide booked for us – only the day before and had to be lunch not dinner. I was very surprised that we got in! And very pleased 😀
