This month, we had major excitement in St Albans. On a grey and rainy day, there was filming in and around the Abbey for the forthcoming series of Netflix’s The Crown. There were some beautiful classic cars outside, actors in military uniforms plus a gaggle of extras waving Union Jacks. Security stopped me from taking photos, but I did get a distant view of the Abbey with its tall windows illuminated from outside by major lamps, plus a couple of shots of them tidying up the following day. The series will start in November and will cover the life of the Royal family in the 1960s. Series 1 is available on Netflix now if you fancy getting into teh series.
Here’s a brief slideshow of March in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Do come back in April when I should be able to show you the nesting herons.

I am glad to hear that The Crown is coming back, it’s interesting looking back on earlier years.

And I hadn’t watched the Crown before this – I’m catching up now (and enjoying it) so I’ll be ready for St Albans’ appearance
