Jardim do Príncipe Real, Lisbon, May 2017
The shade of this cedar from Buçaco, actually a 100 year old Mexican cypress tree, is one of the best places to sit in Lisbon. Simply rest and people watch, or grab a book and chill. If you’re in need of sustenance, there are a couple of kiosks nearby and an excellent cafe just across the park.

That is, hands down, the most amazing cypress tree with impressive shadows to boot!

I know this square very well, right next to it there is an entrance to one of the branches of the “Aqueduto das Águas Livres”, the majestic stone chamber that forms the Patriarchal Reservoir lies underground, beneath the Príncipe Real square.

Yes. I didn’t get to see that but I did walk the aqueduct – appearing here very soon! I loved this square and the surrounding area
