Walking the City

I’m an avid city explorer on my travels.  The best way to discover and understand a place is to get out  there on your feet.  Whilst transport plays its role in society and can be a tool to exploration, walking is the undeniable winner.   Wandering helps us spot the nooks and crannies and meet the people.

High Line, New York,  February 2017

I’m always delighted to find places that are dedicated to pedestrians.  Needless to say, the High Line is one of my favourite walks in New York City.  Sadly, part of it was closed due to weather when I was there earlier this year, but I still enjoyed my slip and slide above the busy streets.

  1. This post brings back so many memories! My first visit to New York was 3 years ago today, and I was there for 5 whole days. I loved exploring the Big Apple – there is so much to do! I particularly remember walking the High Line, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge in a blizzard and the super fast lift up to the viewing deck at Top Of The Rock 🙂 x ps – I use the same theme as you on my blog, isn’t it great 😛
