Christopher Columbus statue,  Barcelona,  August 2018

The Monument a Colom stands at the bottom of the Rambla, with the 40 metre Corinthian column granting Columbus an excellent view out to sea. The bronze explorer clutches a scroll in one hand, whilst pointing out across the ocean with the other, all set for some new discoveries.
