Gushing downwards – at last

The weather in Iceland often means that the waterfalls rush upwards rather than the traditional down.

The wind gusts that tossed the water around also played havoc with me and my tripod. Finally, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula graced me with calmer weather and the wonderful falling rush of water at Kirkjufellsfoss.

    • I don’t really know. There was heavy snow on one day in my trip, with some roads closed. And it was worse in the north east. But there is always a glimpse of cold white, with snow-capped peaks and glaciers.
