Venice Carnival, March 2019
This smart dog in a severely spiky collar, is a blondenhund, or dog for the blonde (not a blindenhund, dog for the blind), who made a sharp impression at Venice Carnival this year.
You can catch a glimpse of his blonde owner, Daniela Schmid, reflected in his spectacles. I’ll introduce her more fully tomorrow.

Wonderful. I love that she is wearing a crown in the reflection! 😉 There are so many jokes about blondes, in German as well as in English, and the analogy to “Blindenhund” is nicely done.

I loved the play with words. He was called Little Button when being affectionate (due to his button nose) so he was well looked after! 😀

I did put a comma in the wrong place – corrected now 🙂 🙂 🙂
Dani always has a costume surprise for us at Carnival, and her helper dog was a delight this year

Yes. I’ll pop it through to Facebook. Data privacy rules don’t allow me to post it to my personal Facebook automatically. But it will be there soon!
