    • Oh my, there’s a difficult question. There’s so much.
First of all, transport is good. A car is useful for some things, but trains and buses are good too.
Edinburgh and Glasgow are lovely cities. So much history in Edinburgh. Glasgow is more edgy, good shopping, good Transport Museum (its architecture as much as its contents), great street art.
Edinburgh has old buildings, galleries, hills (!). There’s a lovely new floating hotel at Leith – worth popping in for a drink even if not staying there. Royal Yacht Britannia at Leith is well worth a visit.
Day trips that i do regularly are North Berwick for views and boat trips out to see the puffins and gannets; and North Queensferry to see the Forth bridges. Also, get to Falkirk if you can to see the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel.
If you flick through my blog and search for these topics you’ll get more of a view of which of these you’ll enjoy most.
If you have questions, drop me a line on travelwithintent@gmail.com and I’ll help.
