Bluebells

Spring bluebells, May 2019

I’ve shared many of my bluebell shots before, but I couldn’t do a month of blues without a re-edit of one of my favourites.

    • Sorry, I should talk in English. It’s intentional camera movement. A fun thing to try in lots of settings, but I don’t often think to try it out. However, it works well in woods. A vertical move of the camera during shot keeps the trees obvious but blurs the flowers well. This one was handheld, and 1/5 second. Then I boosted the colour a little and added texture and clarity in Lightroom.

    • It means Intentional Camera Movement. This was handheld, but it can be done on tripod or moped too. Movement during a long-ish exposure creates this impressionist effect.
