Thanks to everyone for your cultural observations last week. You showed us great variety of cultures around the world, with Maori tradition winning on popularity as there were 3 separate posts on that topic. I was a bit disappointed to see no yoghurt, but I do have to give special thanks to David for a stunning image of a Petri dish in full flow. And thanks to Elke, too, as she combined two of my favourite topics in one – books and beer.

  2. I did not know that there is an ice rink in London. I had a look in Internet and saw there are a few of them around, even the Natural History Museum has one: the changing face of my home town.
