Now over to all of you. Do come and join us in our Saturday six-word musings.
I’ll admit that many of us openly break the numeric rule and share far more words (all excellent of course!) so the key rule is to have a title of six words – and then create around that the post that you desire! Perhaps in bunches of 6 words if you’re feeling inspired.
To join the challenge, please put a link in your post to the URL of this post. Then come back here and leave us a comment. If you have any problems with linking, just put your own URL into the comment. And do feel free to socialise digitally – tweet, instagram, flickr, etc. with the hashtags #SixWordSaturday and #6WS.

Very cool use of your photos. I have yet to venture into the new block editing, but that part may convince me to try sooner than later!

Oh how much fun using the “before and after” block. Thank you. I do like how you lightened the shadows and brought out the yellow in the last image. The monochrome in the second. Undecided about the first. Please be safe…be well.

I identify with the hard to decide, in my case it’s which door; 9 from Antigua, Guatemala 🙂 I liked seeing how your editing details brought out different details. https://fakeflamenco.com/2020/06/20/knock-on-the-door-three-times/

I love the slide on your photos. It’s way cool. I noticed that Becky used it too. How do you like the new editor? I’ve not even looked at it. 😀

I’ve been using it for ages now and like it. Some of the fancy gadgets have the odd problem, but the basics work well. And this slider worked first time (it was Becky that gave me the idea to use it). I think you’ll like it, Cee. It’s very logical, and it’s so easy to move images around if you change your mind about the order. Each block can be moved up and down with ease. Good luck when you venture into it!

Thanks. I’ve used blocks before. So maybe ….. 😀

Yes hard to decide indeed! Whether to use the new editor or not… interesting features out there!

Ah, good to know about the new features. I tried the new editor when it first came out and couldn’t see an advantage. For one thing, the gallery didn’t work anymore and I had a couple of other gripes so I switched back. I will give it another try, though.

That was fun playing with the sliders. And you’re right, it’s a difficult decision. Here are my six words (in 2 languages): https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2020/06/20/family-ist-alles-family-is-everything/

I love that slidy thing 😆
What is it called

It’s actually a staircase! There’s quite a bit of brutal-style architecture on this part of the South Bank of London, with elements of it painted yellow or red. Usually a buzzing area, with restaurants and bars flowing our onto terraces and roofs, and pop-up bars and eateries down below. Of course, at the moment, they are still closed, and those stairs were blocked off.

I don’t often get to the South Bank when I get back to the UK..interesting.
Sorry I also meant the way you showcase your photos from colour to black and white

Sorry, from me! That should have been obvious!
It’s a new feature in the block editing, so I had to have a play with it.:) This one is called “image compare” and is really easy – you just add to photos and it does the slider thing for you.
I have found quite a few little bugs in the new editor, but I’m loving the range they have now given us.

I’ve been reluctant to use the block as I couldn’t see where to add photos ..I should really have a play round with it ..I hate it when I have no idea how something works 😫

I’ve been using it for quite a while now so I had a gentle introduction. They have added an awful lot recently, and it can be a bit daunting. To get started you can really just use paragraph and image. And you just pull your photos into the image box from your media library. It is easy, really!
Becky did a really helpful post about the block editor here: https://beckybofwinchester.com/2020/05/30/block-editor-advice/

Except in the case of the fading bluebell, I tend to prefer the more sombre ones. They probably suit my mood. I however, have been notionally clearing out the cobwebs: https://margaret21.wordpress.com/2020/06/20/six-words-twelve-words-all-nonsense/

I know what you mean, Margaret. I was just looking at a couple of my blurred ICM images and thinking that it’s time I gave them a more cheerful edit! Maybe next week when the sun comes out!

I’ve been to that roof garden! Had a lovely glass of bubbly, surrounded by plants and flowers and bees.
This split view is interesting, like the ‘before and after’ photo sliders on news sites.

Oh, you bring back memories! Needless to say, it was closed last weekend and would have looked very sad if the sun hadn’t been shining on the yellow. I think everything may have been repainted, but couldn’t decide if it was that or just the sun.
