Great St Bart’s

This beauty is the oldest parish church in London, founded as an Augustinian priory in 1123. It is still an active church, but has also had its moments of media fame, appearing in a number of films and tv shows, including Four Weddings and a Funeral, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and Shakespeare in Love.

  1. One fact that blows me away is that the bells that are rung today are the same that were installed in 1510, so to hear them is to hear what what 16th century Londoners would have heard.
