F is for… Fun and Fierce

The meaning of fun is obvious, but fierce not so.  Fierce is, of course, used to describe violent, intense and menacing behaviour, but in recent years it has also become a popular word to describe good things, especially the bold and brave use of colours and fashion.

The splash of orange below is both fun and fierce:

It is the one car on the London Eye that is not silver.  This bright orange is in honour of the current sponsor of the Eye, EDF Energy.

Whatever colour capsule you take, this trip is something to include in any visit to London.  Providing the weather is kind to you, the views are spectacular.

With Valentines Day approaching you may like to add a touch of romanticism with one of their special experiences.  There are plenty of options, but I’ll warn you now that the price for the private dining capsule for two starts at and eye watering £7000.

  3. Riding the Eye was the one thing I wanted to do in 2012 when there, but no luck! A good reason to return and maybe get to ride in the orange one!

    • Funny how fear of heights affects people differently. I’m ok in something like this because the capsules are enclosed and huge, but give me something high and open and I’m a nervous wreck!

    • Funny isn’t it. When it was first announced I was very underwhelmed, but I love it. Must be it’s setting, at least in part, because after all it’s just a big wheel!

  4. Love hearing the added info on the one orange car. We were in London in September and I took a photo of the wheel and especially the one distinct orange car…

Thank you for sharing a Fun place I am never going to go in person both for my own sake and that of others…anxiety breakdowns due to stairs/heights are never pretty!

  7. Nice shots! They are building one of these in Las Vegas that should be open some time this summer. I probably will not be able to afford more than one ride in my lifetime!
