Jazzed up in Havana, Cuba, December 2016

Hex reference: #ca3767
A colourful note: this deep shade of red-violet, known as jazzberry jam in the Crayola world, became a crayon in 2003.
If you fancy being jazzy yourself, why not add a splash of this colour to your garden: you can go for an attractive hibiscus of the same shade and name.

I am sure this is the same pink Chevy convertible that we had an afternoons ride around Havana last spring. Wonderful reflection photos. Love the colors.

Yes, it was a memorable trip. I was surprised how open and friendly the Cubans were toward Americans. Our blockade has made life in Cuba difficult, yet they do not blame us personally for our government’s actions. This Chevy convertible could use a new clutch, and the suspension needed new springs and shock absorbers, but it ran great.

I was with photography friends and we spent a few hours on the kerb waiting for the right car of the right colour at the right speed and passing something interesting!
Sad people, we are!

Trying to find a different angle on a classic photo shot. I took hundreds of photos of the cars!
