      1. I didn’t have a choice. It was the Rugby World Cup and we had tickets for Samoa-South Africa. But I loved the canals (they were fab!) and the whole area around Villa Park (not beautiful but very interesting) and I wrangled a visit in Stratford-upon-Avon out of my husband. Not forgetting the floozie in the jacuzzi, of course. The only thing I didn’t get was the accent! 😀

      2. Oh, I forgot: the library looks stunning. Now I am remembering all those great things about Birmingham, the golden boys and the two sisters and their kids representing a typical family. We stayed in a b&b to the south, in Hockley Heath and I had the BESTEST (sic!) fish and chips.
